Tom Lewis will join 24 other players on the PGA Tour next season, as he has won 2019-2020 membership after winning the Korn Ferry Tour Championship on Monday. He gained this victory by five strokes over Fabian Gomez. Tom Lewis is already a two-time winner on the European Tour, but this is his first PGA Tour win. He stated that “Playing on the PGA Tour was always a dream of mine and hopefully, I will continue to achieve good things. I am looking forward to the year I have got ahead, and I am curious to see what the future will bring.”
DJ Trahan, Richy Werenski, Chris Baker, and Doug Ghim have secured their PGA Tour Cards during the Korn Ferry Tour Championship too. This is the first card for Chris Baker, who has already played professional golf for more than a decade. Doug Ghim claimed his first card also, Doug was the low amateur at the 2018 Masters Tournament. In addition, rising star and former US Amateur Champion Viktor Hovland secured his card and will be a rookie during the 2019-2020 season.
