Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal won his fifth European Tour title by one shot at the Alfred Dunhill Championship having survived a final day scare.

Pablo had a three-shot lead heading into the final round at Leopard Creek. The 36-year-old world number 261 had six bogeys and a double bogey in his first 13 holes. He managed to hole out form three feet on the last for his fifth birdie, to card a (+3) 75.

He finished on an eight under total, which was one clear of Swede Joel Sjoholm, who finished with a 69 on Sunday.

The Spaniard had serious blistering on his feet on the final day with made swinging powerfully difficult. Dutchman Wil Besseling was seven under playing the last but an embedded ball put an end to his charge. The 33 year old who was chasing his 1st European tour win, bogeyed the final hole and had to settle for a share of 3rd alongside South Africans Charl Schwartzel, the former Masters champion and Branden Grace.
