P790 irons pack powerful performance into a clean, classic design to deliver breakthrough distance in a players iron.

The P790 product family is known for its clean, classic look and premium build quality. These stunning new irons have a forged hollow body made from soft 4140 carbon steel. They contain a low profile tungsten weighting, designed for higher launch and a low center of gravity. When compared to first-generation P790s, this mass of the tungsten is 15% larger.

This new weighting will increase the launch angle. The all-new P790s also contain SpeedFoam, which is a patented material made from ultra-light urethane. This material is engineered for improving the feel and push the design limits of face speed.

The Thru Slot Speed Pocket design of the P790 product family maximizes the ball speeds and saves shots lower on the face. TaylorMade state, the Speed Pocket design provides “forgiveness” for such shots.

Another patented technology, called “Progressive Inverted Cone”, improves the accuracy and protects off-center ball speed. This technology reduces the face thickness at the edges and offers more flexibility from heel to toe. And just like the first generation of this product series, lots of custom shaft option are available.

The second generation of TaylorMade P790s are expected to launch on November 8.
